We typically let by the week, but are equally able to offer short breaks.

How to Book

Please check the dates you require are free by using our availability calendar, then e-mail us or call us for confirmation so that we can reserve the dates for you straight away. Once we have confirmed availability, we will send you a booking form to print, sign and return with a 20% deposit.

* Overseas guests: Please ensure that we receive the full amount in UK Pound Sterling. We regret that exchange rate costs and bank fees cannot be borne by The Cottage. 

Deposit / Bond

  • Please send a 20% deposit to secure your booking.
  • If your booking is made within 4 weeks of arrival, the full amount will be due at the time of booking.


We strongly advise you to take out holiday cancellation insurance in case you have to cancel your booking due to some unforeseen circumstance. Please see Terms and Conditions for our cancellation policy.

Loyalty Discount

We are pleased to offer a 5% loyalty discount for repeat business (whole week bookings only). Just mention your previous stay when you contact us and we'll adjust the price accordingly.


Terms and Conditions

Contract A booking is confirmed when you have paid your deposit, completed and returned a signed book form and received written conformation from us of your stay and a booking reference. When you receive a letter of confirmation signed by us, this signifies that both parties have entered into a binding contract which is subject to all the The Cottage terms and conditions. Please ensure the details on your booking confirmation are correct, and advise us immediately if there are any errors.

Payment To secure your booking we require a deposit of 20%, with the balance payable four weeks prior to arrival. If booking within four weeks of arrival, the whole cost is payable on booking. 

Deposit / Bond Although no damage deposit is charged, we reserve the right to charge for any damage or breakages that occurs at the property as a result of your stay.

Cancellation Should you need to cancel, please be aware that the deposits are non re-refundable. If a cancellation is made within four weeks of the start of your holiday, the full balance will be payable unless we are able to re-let the cottage. If we do succeed in re-letting, you are no longer liable for the balance. If you have already paid the balance, we will refund it to you less a £20 administration fee.

Non Availability of Accommodation We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation were unavailable for reasons beyond our control.  In this situation, we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday.  Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival/Departure Arrival from 4pm onwards and Departure by 10am, so that we have time to prepare for the new guests.

Use of the Property The number of guests occupying the cottage must not exceed eight plus the cot. Guests must use the cottage for personal and domestic purposes only and not for commercial purposes. We reserve the right to refuse entry to the party if these conditions are not observed.

Care of the Property All guests agree to take all reasonable and proper care of the property and the furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair and condition and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period, as at the beginning. The owners can require payment from guests to cover the replacement of broken items or the repair of damage, in or to the property along with any additional costs which may result; for example, extra cleaning costs.

Please report accidental damage or breakage if and when it happens. Repairs and replacement items can then be arranged in advance of the arrival of other guests. We may make an additional charge of £30 if accidental damage or breakage is not reported to us when it occurs.

Fire Safety Regulations To comply with fire safety regulations, no naked flames or candles are to be used in the cottage.

Liability We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless it is proven to have been caused by a negligence on our behalf.

Right of Entry We reserve the right of reasonable access to the cottage at all times, but, where possible, we would advise you in advance if access were required.

Keys To be arranged with Agents

Linen Linen and towels for 8 beds are provided. These will be made up into doubles or twins as requested at the time of booking. No linen or bedding of any kind other than a mattress will be provided for the cot.

CLEANING - Please leave the house vacummed, kitchen and living room floor washed and cooker cleaned - as you would expect to find it. We do emphasise that this is the responsibility of the holiday maker

Pets Well behaved dogs are welcome. Please note the property is in the countryside with livestock in neighbouring fields, so outside of the garden all dogs should be kept on a lead at all times.
